Kobenhaven Glazed 10cm Pots with saucers

3 colourways: Emerald Green, Petroleum Blue & Yellow Amber

These clay pots are inspired by a pot made at the royal castle of Fredensborg in 1860. Over time production moved to smaller potters in Copenhagen where they were made until plastic pots became popular in the 1960’s. Steffen Berg found his inspiration in a beautiful pot he saw years ago in a small nursery. Today the pots are made in a small village near Lucca in Italy

The glaze is saturated with intense colour, accentuating the nuances between the different designs. Each pot, jar or vase is glazed the old-fashioned way, individually and by hand. The sturdy glazes and timeless colours signal that pots glazed by Bergs are made to last for generations to come. Quality will always be classic.

Since 1942 Bergs Potters have been creating handmade pots, designed in Denmark and created with love in a small, family-owned workshop near Lucca in Tuscany. They take pride in the beauty and strength of their pots, made from premium Italian clay.

Bergs Potter create versatile pots with natural strength which means they can work inside or outside. Their durability comes from high-temperature firing and a subtle silicone treatment which means they are waterproof.

Proper drainage gives plants roots room to breathe and superior clay holds in the moisture they need. “If your plants could speak, they would tell you that there’s nothing better than a quality clay pot!”
